Thanks for organizing the BUGHOUSE event, Rick!
Even though it's unlike a Chess Pentathlon as in the past years, but my daughter still had tons of fun. Thanks again!!

We started a middle school chess club today and want to know more about meeting with other MS groups and about visiting chess masters.
Can you please send info on opportunities for our small club, currently 9 students large and hopefully growing.
Thank you

We are defining Middle School as Grades 5-9 so yes, 9th graders are eligible. The Association focuses on the grade of the child - not the school they attend (5th graders can participate as well regardless of the school they attend). We would love to see you there!

Some schools have 7th through 12th grades (i.e. Lakeside). Will the 9th graders be allowed to participate in the team tournament on March 6th ?

Rick,
This is so true, my son loves to play chess, but there is not club at his current MS so he is not part of a team. We are on the Lake Washington school distric and would like to hear the interest from other parents from the school district. I think the kids just want to have fun playing chess and creating new friendships. :-)
